In this photo, Seaman Nathan Beldner from Auburn, California, secures power during a simulated electrical fire of a general quarters drill aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Beldner serves aboard Ike as an electrician's mate, operating and maintaining the ship's electrical equipment and power plants. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
